What Is “Nishikita Chopin”?
“Nishikita Chopin” is an independently produced film from Nishinomiya, built around the concepts of “passing down the story of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake” and “supporting left-handed pianists.”
Since the film is set in Nishinomiya, it seems that familiar places for Nishinomiya residents, such as “the Nishikita area”, “Shukugawa Park”, and “Hyogo Prefectural Nishinomiya High School”, were used as filming locations.
They also recruited extras from crowdfunding supporters and even looked for local residents to appear as “reporters.”
Their crowdfunding campaign, which had a target of 5 million yen, raised 4.93 million yen.
By the way, in our article “They’re Recruiting People to Play Reporters in the Nishinomiya-Set Film ‘Nishikita Chopin’”,
Shacho from Nishitsu even filmed an acting video 😀though he didn’t actually apply
Finally
“Nishikita Chopin” is scheduled to be released in 2021.
It’s a film set in Nishinomiya, the city we’re so used to seeing, so as local residents, we definitely want to watch it.
We can’t wait for the release date.
