Tried the Curry Udon at Banbatei in Kofuen Nishinomiya | Nishitsu Gourmet

Introducing the restaurants visited by Nishitsu’s gourmet writer in our Nishitsu Gourmet series.
This time, we went to

a soba noodle restaurant
“番馬亭”
located about a 2-minute walk from Hankyu Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi Station✨

It’s a popular spot known for its delicious curry udon.
We arrived 10 minutes after opening, but it was already full❗️

The turnover is quick, so even if there’s a line, I don’t think you’ll have to wait too long😊

There are 26 seats in total, including counter seats and tables.

Since it was my first visit, I started by ordering their popular curry udon✨

★Curry Udon (850 yen)

It’s hard to tell from the photo, but the bowl is huge!!

Where are the udon noodles?!
That’s how much curry is in it❤️

They can adjust the spiciness of the curry to your preference, and this time I asked for the regular level☺️🎵

It has a mildly spicy kick, about medium-hot✨

The curry, made with kombu and bonito broth, has a wonderful aroma and tastes amazing❤️

The noodles had a nice firm texture, and there were plenty of toppings too❗️

You can also take home any leftover curry in a container for 120 yen😆✨

Bringing your own container is OK too❗️

Even after we left, there were still many people lined up outside!
It’s a popular restaurant, so why not give it a try sometime?☺️
