The vendors have been announced for “OTOMO Koshien,” a competition to choose foods that pair well with Nishinomiya craft beer, happening at Rokutanji Park on Saturday, August 24.
First, here’s the flyer↓

Since snacks that go well with beer from local Nishinomiya shops are coming together, I’d been waiting to find out, “Which shops are going to be there?”
We now know some of the foods that will be sold!
- Grilled skewers
- Fried chicken
- Edamame
- Gyoza
- Hamburgers
Apparently, these will all be priced under 500 yen.
The number of vendors is 6.
Even if you try them all, it’ll be under 3,000 yen!
Now then! Let me introduce the shops.
えだ屋
A standing izakaya in Koshien Abikicho.

Since it’s an izakaya, they probably have plenty of items that go well with beer. Nishi2 Gourmet tried their grilled horumon and yakisoba↓
ダイニング 2ton
A dining bar in Koshienguchi.

It’s a bar at night and a ramen shop at lunchtime. Personally, I’m curious about their yuzu hakusai ramen. I hear the tomato ramen is good too.
いづみ屋
A diner near Imazu Station. It was renovated in 2020.

As you’d expect from a diner, they have a wide variety of menu items. I’m looking forward to seeing what snacks they’ll bring to pair with beer. Nishi2 Gourmet tried their ginger pork.
Bliss Burger Hawaii
A hamburger shop in Kurakuen-guchi.

They’re famous for their taro burgers. Nishi2 Gourmet has tried their burgers too.
ゴンベ
A Korean restaurant in Nishidacho, under the Hankyu elevated tracks.

Spicy dishes and the like sound like they’d go great with beer.
鉄板ダイニングhana
A teppanyaki restaurant in Uegahara Rokubancho.

They’ve brought their food truck to the area in front of Furuno Electric, and they were also at the recent festival at Hirota Shrine.
さいごに
On the day of the event, visitors will vote for the snacks they liked best. Then the Grand Prix winner will be announced. Which shop’s item will take first place?

Since it’s a Nishinomiya beer event, Shachomi is definitely interested.
