A Takoyaki and Yakisoba Shop Called “Yataiya” Has Opened Near Hankyu Imazu Station What Are Tokyo Croquettes?

A new takoyaki and yakisoba shop called “屋台屋” has opened near Hankyu Imazu Station.

There’s a takoyaki noren curtain out front, along with a flag that says Tokyo Croquette 😃What exactly is Tokyo Croquette?

Apparently, they’re open only on Saturdays and Sundays, and they opened on Saturday, July 20.

The address is 1-3 Tsuto Kurehacho, Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture, 1st floor of Inoue Building.

It seems the space used to be an izakaya. Before that, it may have been a takoyaki shop.

Yakisoba with Kuroge Wagyu Beef Kasu Large 600 yen

This is the kind of yakisoba that really feels like classic festival-stall food. You just know it’s going to be good〜〜🤤Love that it has Kuroge Wagyu beef kasu in it

Hmm, what’s that? Takoyaki maybe〜?It looks a little small for that, though

Tokyo Croquette 2 skewers 250 yen

They’re on skewersーー！Kind of like dango〜

Apparently, mashed potatoes are shaped into balls and fried, and that’s what they call “Tokyo Croquette”😃

It seems this was a “festival-stall specialty” commonly seen around 1995 to 2000 in northern Osaka and a very small part of Hyogo Prefecture.

It’s topped with Worcestershire sauce, and according to KAZU, “It really tastes like festival-stall food and it’s delicious” 😋I want to try it〜〜
