I went to the “3rd Autumn Gourmet Festival” held at Abiki Park in Koshien on November 3!
So many people came out, and the place was really lively.
I’d like to share what it was like with some photos.

As you can see, the venue was packed with people.
There were even lines at each of the participating shops’ booths.
Here’s what the booths looked like↓

There were also a few shops that we’ve featured on Nishi2 before.
Since I was there, I decided to try something too.

The hot dog from this shop looked delicious, so I decided to have one.

Here it is.
It had a nice balance of sweetness and acidity, and it was delicious.
And “Pizzeria da Torachici,” which we previously featured on Nishi2, had actually brought in a pizza oven and was baking pizzas on-site.

Wow, that’s impressive.
I wanted to try it too, but the line was so long that I gave up……

There was also a “play corner” run by students from Imazu High School, and it was bustling with lots of children.

As one of the event’s features, each shop created and served its own original curry.
It was a fun concept where you could enjoy unique curries made with creative ideas by shops that aren’t curry specialists.

Since I had the chance, I decided to eat something……
There was a spot selling rice only, so first I bought some rice.

I decided to have this curry.

It was keema curry.
I poured it over the rice from earlier.

Here it is.
It wasn’t that spicy, and it was a delicious curry packed with the rich flavor of meat.
I hope they do this again next year.

Meanwhile, singer-songwriter Reiko Umehara, who is from Imazu, was performing live on stage.
Apparently she was nervous about performing in front of acquaintances and teachers……
But it was a wonderful live show, with great music and singing.
Her love for her hometown really came through.
We at Nishi2 will continue cheering her on!
