We received a tip that some kind of construction work is going on at “Nishihama Park” near Imazu Station!
(Information provided by KAZU. Thank you!)
This article is brought to you by “Nishinomiya Kitaguchi Dental and Oral Surgery, open year-round,” a dental clinic that supports Nishitsu.

Hmm. It looks like they’re digging something up!

And apparently, “the site supervisor is a cat”!! So we went to check it out right away!

This is Nishihama Park!

It says “boring survey”!!
But it looks different from the photo we received…

That machine that looked like it was digging something up is gone, and now there’s a tank instead.

And we searched all around the park, but the cat supervisor was nowhere to be found… 😭

Ah!! It’s that project↓
It’s a major construction project to install a huge underground storage pipe around the Tsutogawa River area, with an inner diameter of 4.9 meters and a total length of about 1.7 km.
That seems to be why boring surveys are being carried out around the city.
You might spot more signs saying “boring survey” from now on!
Here’s the map for Nishihama Park↓
The address is 7-29 Tsuto Nishiguchicho, Nishinomiya, Hyogo.
In Closing
By the way, we visited for this story on August 16.
The construction work was scheduled to run until the 18th, so it’s probably finished as of today 🙋
I really wanted to meet the cat supervisor…
KAZU, thank you very much for the tip!!
