Here’s what the Ashiya Summer Carnival, next door to Nishinomiya, looked like.
“What kind of festival stalls are there in 2019?”
“What’s the situation like for saving spots?”
“How spacious are the paid viewing seats?”
For anyone wondering about those things, we’ll show you mainly through photos.(Currently being updated, with more photos being added)
By the way, according to the official announcement, today’s fireworks will go ahead as scheduled. Twitter
The launch time is around 19:45.
It gets crowded, so we strongly recommend finishing your shopping at least an hour beforehand!

The Path Right After Entering the Park (Festival Stall Street)
At 15:00, it wasn’t raining.

Fried chicken, gyoza, frankfurters, candied apples, and more.

Tamago senbei, shakashaka fries, shaved ice, fried chicken, and more.

Cheese sticks, yakisoba, grilled squid, castella, cold drinks, hashimaki, shaved ice
The drinks looked like this (Sorry the image is rough)

Wagyu beef, corn, bunny-ear hopping hats, frankfurters
Bunny-Ear Hopping Hats

I wonder how many people will wear these. We’re looking forward to seeing some bold guys try them on!

Candied fruit, bokkake yakisoba, French fries, Karaage-tei, and more.
Around the Playground Area (Also Festival Stall Street)
You can see the park playground on your right, so it’s over that way.

You can see stalls like Golden Torikara, Unko Sensei?, Disney scooping games, yakisoba, shaved ice, castella, and more.
If you get a little closer to Golden Torikara ↓

There’s cotton candy in bags, maybe super ball scooping? You can also see goldfish scooping on the left.
Unko Sensei

This area has lots of things kids like, such as super ball scooping.
But so far, no one has gone for Unko Sensei. Whoever wears it on their head can become today’s MVP (at least among the people around you). If we spot someone, please let us take a photo!
Baby Bottle Soda

At last, something called glowing baby bottle soda has appeared!
Strawberry, mango, grape, melon, Blue Hawaii, lemon… do they put shaved ice syrup in it?

The stalls on both sides are beef skewers and tornado potatoes. This area is on the west side where the playground is.

From another angle. There’s also a shooting gallery. And light bulb soda too
The light bulb soda looks like this.

There is only one goldfish scooping stall. I feel like it’s west of this playground every year.

The Plaza Slightly South of the Soccer Field (Citizens’ Stage)
This is just a little south of the soccer field.

It’s the area with the stage.

From the left: golden castella, fried chicken, grilled beef, hashimaki, crepes, fried chicken.
Continuation from above ↓

Shaved ice, Oita fried chicken, Fujinomiya yakisoba, light bulb soda, shaved strawberries topped with condensed milk, takoyaki and yakisoba, shaved ice, tapioca, yakitori, yakisoba, and more.

There was omusoba.
Toilets and Vending Machines West of the Playground
around here, maybe ↓

There are toilets and vending machines. They’re probably normal prices, so they’re cheap! They’ll probably sell out during peak time, though.
Here’s the lineup ↓

A regular Coca-Cola vending machine. There’s also an ice cream vending machine next to it.

Fried cartilage, lottery games, and so on.
There are trash bins in various places, so please put your trash in the bins.
The trash bins look like this ↓

Paid Viewing Seat Ticket Booth
If you go a little farther in and cross the bridge, you’ll find the paid viewing seat ticket booth ↓

The prices look like this ↓

As of 15:00, tickets were still being sold. The Premium Beach Viewing Seats seem to be in the front row. Kind of intriguing.

To the left of the viewing seat ticket booth is the information area for lost items, lost children, and so on.
If you go farther in between them, you’ll find the entrance to the paid viewing seats.

There is a vending machine in front of the paid viewing seat entrance.
This is a toilet, but it seems to be only for special viewing seat users.
The Area to the Right When Facing the Viewing Seat Ticket Booth
Cross the river by the playground, and there is an open area to the right when facing the viewing seat ticket booth.
On the map, this is the Radio Kansai Gourmet Marche.

Ice crepes, French fries, shaved ice, grilled beef skewers, tapioca milk tea, Korean cheese dogs, Fujinomiya yakisoba
Baby castella, long fries, furufuru fries, beef yakisoba, cheese dogs, skirt steak skewers and beef tongue skewers, yakisoba, lamb skewers.

Baby castella, shaved ice, yakisoba, golden fried chicken, baby castella.
So, which were there more of: baby castella or yakisoba?

From the left: tapioca drinks, aged beef steak, fried chicken vs toriten, Hiroshima-yaki, thick-cut salted beef tongue steak (draft beer too), pizza.

A pretty high-quality shaved ice shop, which was also selling fruit ice.
