Starting October 1, Hanshin’s Naruo Station will apparently be renamed “Naruo-Mukogawa Women’s University” Station.
The reason for the name change is “to further revitalize the railway corridor together with the local community.”

Station names in Nishinomiya have mostly been short, but this one will surpass the previous longest, “Mukogawa-Danchimae,” to become the longest station name in Nishinomiya.
Now, will the new name catch on smoothly?
