Today, 9/22, we got to cover the newly opened “MUJI” on the 3rd floor of the main building at Hankyu Nishinomiya Gardens. It was so much fun, so here’s what it was like.
Oh, I’d heard from the start that it was big, but it really is huge.

As you can probably tell just by looking, it’s too huge for us to show you everything m(__)m
But we’ll share as much as we possibly can!!

Now, let’s take a look around.

The flyer said it has one of the largest product displays in Japan, and that definitely seems true.

If you’re visiting with kids, watch out so they don’t get lost.

If that happens, the first place you’ll want to check is the kids’ corner.

They have picture books too.

This is the much-talked-about juice stand! You buy your ticket from the vending machine.

In addition to seasonal drinks, the melon cream soda was a surprise. They have soft serve ice cream too.

Next to the juice stand, there’s a stylish little space where you can enjoy your drink.

“What!? They have refills for things like aluminum foil!?” Kurayan from Nishitsu was surprised. That’s exactly the kind of thing that makes MUJI, MUJI.

Kurayan from Nishitsu getting excited over carpet cleaners. Seriously!?

These are for sale too. Personally, I want one.

And then I realized there were so many varieties, I was shocked. As expected from the largest MUJI in Hyogo Prefecture.

Since it’s so spacious, there’s plenty of furniture too. MUJI’s simple, refined designs are easy on the eyes.

The product displays are interesting enough to become an article titled “Cotton Was Blooming at MUJI.”

Cotton. So fluffy!

It’s kind of surreal and fun.

Let’s check out the food section everyone’s curious about.

Cheesecake in a nice, manageable size. The 350 yen price tag is very tempting.

Strawberries coated in white chocolate. Several little bites of happiness in one pack.

Ready-to-eat naan. Naan you make yourself. Jasmine rice that would be delicious with Thai curry, and more.

Cheap! You love to see this kind of thing! It’s nice that they have bargain items with a supermarket-like feel.

Of course, they sell tons of varieties of MUJI’s wildly popular curry. Buy them all!

There are 54 varieties with authentic local flavors.

Chestnut sweets like baumkuchen are gathered here. Seasonal items are always nice.

They had a lot of frozen foods too.

Things like stick gyoza and shumai.

They also have soy sauce karaage and salted koji karaage.

There’s also a great selection of pre-cut vegetables, like vegetables for curry and Chinese dishes, which is great for home cooks.

The age of frozen mitarashi dango has arrived. The future is bright.

As expected on opening day! The checkout line had turned into a huge queue.

Even Sensei from Nishitsu was at a loss.

There are 11 self-checkout registers and 11 staffed registers. That seems like quite a lot.

That’s all from Nishitsu.
You really should go and experience it in person.
There are so many things you’ll want.
But the best part about MUJI is that the prices are easy to buy at. If you’d like to see a little more, head to the next page.
This MUJI is so incredibly large that, unusually for Nishitsu, we’re doing this as a two-page article.
Now, let’s continue.

The good-smelling stuff. There’s a whole lot of it.
