Area around “Kikuya”
Across the street is Minna Genki Gym, which is currently being rebuilt.
If you go this way, you’ll find Oda Dental Clinic, Yumean, and others, on the south side of JR Sakura Shukugawa Station. It’s around the Alfa Romeo dealership.
Going the other way takes you toward Ashiya. FIT24 and Life Shukugawa Store are there.
A medical center is planned

After the Kikuya building is demolished, it looks like the “(tentative name) Shukugawa Medical Center” will be built there. It is scheduled for completion in autumn 2025😃

It looks like it will be a four-story mall.

It’s sad to see the building of Kikuya, a long-established wagashi shop that had been a familiar part of Shukugawa for 47 years, disappear.
