It seems Ashida Mana caused a bit of a stir in Nishinomiya when she gave a live-streamed greeting for the movie “Hoshi no Ko.”
On October 9, a stage greeting for “Hoshi no Ko” was held at TOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills and apparently broadcast live simultaneously to 10 venues across Japan.
During the event, Ashida Mana greeted everyone in her hometown of Nishinomiya in Kansai dialect.

Watched it in Nishinomiya, Ashida Mana’s hometown. During the stage greeting, when she said “everyone in Nishinomiya,” the theater got all excited.
The cast was impressive and the acting was outstanding, but the ending felt a little underwhelming. I wanted one more push…
Here’s the video from that moment ↓
“Even though the weather is bad today, you still came to the movie theater. I’m really happy! Enjoy yourselves today!”
That’s what she said. It’s nice how she looks a little shy while thinking about what to say as she speaks!
On the 11th, Channel 8 aired the movie “Hankyu Railway,” which features both Ashida Mana and Nishinomiya quite a lot, and it really makes you realize how much she’s grown since then. It sounds like her already incredible acting has become even more polished in this movie, too. I’m looking forward to seeing what she does next. It would be great if she mentioned Nishinomiya again sometime ^^
