Miyatan’s booklet for summer events has a really great vibe.

Miyatan and Yokai Village’s Summer Vacation 2019

The booklet is titled “Miyatan and Yokai Village’s Summer Vacation 2019,” and it introduces events taking place in Nishinomiya from July through August.

Miyatan is being chased by yokai and crying “Uwaaa,” and the illustration really captures that “Uwaaa” feeling.

There are all kinds of yokai too, and it really gives off a fun atmosphere.

There are lots of events and quite a lot of information, but yokai are scattered all over the pages, making it fun to look through.

Bon Odori with the Miyatan Ondo

We rounded up summer festivals in this article, but if you want to see the Bon Odori events where Miyatan will appear, this booklet is easier to read.

It looks like Miyatan will appear at Bon Odori events in 11 locations.

We Found “Kaze Hiitemannen”

There was also a yokai from that famous commercial.

By the way, the oni who appears in commercials for the cold medicine “Kaigen” is “Fujin-san,” while this one is “Kaze Oni,” so it’s just an uncanny resemblance.

There were others that looked kind of familiar too.

Maybe this one doesn’t look that similar.
