At the start, Sakura and Karen from Takoyaki Rainbow appeared near the pedestrian bridge by Green Town in Shukugawa.
Together with Professor Hiroshi Watanabe, known as the Praying Mantis Doctor, they were catching water striders under Kitashukugawa Bridge (Shukugawa River Green Space).

Apparently, water striders are relatives of stink bugs. The program said that’s why they give off a smell when you touch them.
The smell is said to be a sweet “candy” scent. And since they look a bit like sticks, they’re called amenbo. There also seems to be a theory that the name comes from “boya-bo.”
