Financiers from Chihiro Kashiten in Kurakuen-guchi opened last October [Nishitsu Gourmet]

I bought some “financiers” from “ちひろ菓子店” in Kurakuen-guchi, which opened last October.

What I bought at “ちひろ菓子店”

I picked up three kinds of sweets!

Here’s what I bought!

Freshly Baked Financier (Premium Plain) 300 yen (tax included)

As the name suggests, they prepare today’s freshly baked batch for you. It seems these are made only with carefully selected, world-class ingredients, including several kinds of cultured butter, premium flour, Marcona almonds, and Guérande salt.

Perfectly baked!! Crispy on the outside. Moist and fluffy inside. The rich butter aroma really comes through.

Chihiro Financier (Pistachio) 360 yen (tax included)

A vivid green color, made by generously mixing high-quality, uncolored Italian pistachios into the batter.

The fragrant pistachio flavor and the moist texture of the batter were a perfect match.

Chihiro Sablé (Rich Butter) 300 yen (tax included)

It seems to be made using a special method that mixes in as much butter as possible.

The surface has a nicely browned, crunchy texture. The aroma is sealed inside the thick sablé dough. It was packed with rich buttery flavor.

They let me take a quick look inside the shop

There were 15 kinds of financiers and 2 kinds of sablés. They also had limited financiers for each day of the week (when I visited, it was a Kikaijima banana financier).

At checkout, I received a freshly baked financier as a little bonus (I think it was probably the same Premium Plain one I bought)! I was happy!
