A concept image has been released for the new commercial facility on the south side of Koshien Stadium.

About the new facility
The facility will be three stories tall. (This is the concept as of 2019/10/10, so the plans may change.)
The 1st floor will be a commercial area
It looks like restaurants and retail shops will be brought in on the 1st floor.
In the concept image, you can see five restaurants, two retail shops, a parking lot, and bicycle parking.
The 2nd floor will be the Koshien History Museum area
It looks like part of the Koshien History Museum will be relocated and expanded here.
There will apparently be exhibits, hands-on experience zones, a cafe, and more.
It also seems it will be connected to Koshien Stadium by a deck walkway.
The 3rd floor will be a local hub area for community interaction
The 3rd floor is expected to become a space for local interaction, with a multipurpose hall, kids’ zone, and areas related to child-rearing and learning.
What restaurant chains would you like to see in the new facility?
It looks like restaurants will be opening on the 1st floor of the new commercial facility. We’re running a poll to ask what you’d be happy to see there. You can choose up to three. Just because something gets a lot of votes here doesn’t mean it will actually open, but we thought it would be interesting to see what everyone wants.
(We’ve left out chain restaurants already located in front of the station, Corowa, and Lalapo.)

Finally
It seems they are aiming to open around spring 2021. Of course, what we really want to know is what shops will move in. For moms in the neighborhood, having something like a kids’ zone sounds like it would be a welcome addition.
