Kawarabayashi Park has a shiny new combination playground structure that was just renovated this March.

The long slide with a big visual impact stayed just as it was.
Actually, there were originally three candidates for this playground equipment, and it was apparently chosen by a vote from students and parents in this school district.
The colorful design is adorable, and in the evenings and on holidays the park gets lively with everyone from tiny toddlers taking wobbly steps to energetic elementary school kids.
There’s also a field right next to it.
Was this a fountain before? There’s nothing there now, but my son likes walking around it while trying not to fall off.
This park also has clean restrooms, and believe it or not, there’s a rose garden inside the park!!!
Right now in May, the roses are just reaching their peak.
So many colors, and they’re absolutely beautiful.

It’s on the north side of Hanshin Koshien Station, along the Nakatsuhama Line.
Right next door is Harukaze Elementary School, whose school building was just rebuilt.
A little farther ahead, there’s also Kobe-ya Restaurant Koshien.

It’s a great place to come for a stroll with your family, take cute photos of your pet with the roses in the background, or relax alone on a bench with a coffee in hand.
