Everyone has times when they feel like letting out a complaint, right?
But careless words can bring trouble. Your grumbling might make its way around and come back to you.
So today, I’d like to introduce everyone to an amazing Jizo in Nishinomiya you can really count on at times like that.

This Jizo can be found here, at Jurinji Temple(鷲林寺)on Mt. Kabutoyama.

It feels so warm and comforting.
Let’s head up the stone steps.

Since it’s “Washi”rinji, a washi is here to greet us!

Ah! There he is!
His name is “Kikimimi Jizo Bosatsu”!

He’s really leaning in to listen!
And that gentle smile looks like it could embrace everything!
It really makes you want to tell him anything.

A stone monument beside him.
Things you can’t tell other people… like “If we dressed the boss in red-and-white stripes, he’d look just like Waldo” and then smirking to yourself about it. You could never say that out loud…

Kikimimi Jizo, you’ve been drinking too much! …That’s another thing you could never say out loud.
He seems to like “Onikoroshi”.
And One Cup Ozeki, too. Local love. Truly a Nishinomiya Jizo.

There’s another lovely Jizo nearby, too.
As a Nishitsu reporter, I also need to stay close to the local community and do what I can!

And on the way back, I stopped by this stylish building.
Believe it or not, it’s a restroom!

Its beauty isn’t just on the outside.
This restroom has won Nishinomiya City’s Urban Landscape Award!

In the men’s restroom, there’s this note above the urinal.
It really touches your heart. With just one note and one phrase, it creates a beautiful space.

There’s this note in the stall.
Within its gentle words are the feelings we all need as human beings.
