That’s right, today is “Fish Finder Day”
And this time, in an incredibly exciting turn of events, we got to take a look inside FURUNO ELECTRIC’s new office building, “SOUTH WING”, which is very closely connected to “Fish Finder Day”～🙌 yay

It really stands out, even in the dark～😀 so exciting
The new building is named “SOUTH WING”
It looks like the Technical Research Institute and the marine development division will be brought together in this new building～
Just as FURUNO succeeded in commercializing the world’s first “fish finder” in 1948,
maybe in the near future, a world-changing product will be born from this “SOUTH WING”～!!
Here’s the first floor. It feels super spacious and open～
I got to have my dream collaboration with Mile-kun, who I’d always wanted to meet (^o^)
With an open floor like this, people could relax, come up with new ideas through casual conversations, and exchange opinions freely～
There’s no doubt a world-changing product will come from FURUNO ELECTRIC in the near future.
In the back, there were rows and rows of specialized magazines. Those kinds of magazines can be pretty expensive, so it’s really nice that employees can apply to borrow them～
Yep, there’s definitely going to be a world-changing product coming from FURUNO ELECTRIC.
There are also seats where you can relax while looking outside when you want to zone out or think things over by yourself. I’m so jealous of companies with floors like this～
On the wall of the conference room, there was an explanation of how “target tracking radar” works, the kind of thing you can’t help but stop and read.
The handwritten-style diagrams and text felt natural and unpretentious. So nice.
In a meeting room like this, meetings would feel exciting and fun, and free-thinking ideas would surely come out～
Once again, there’s no doubt FURUNO ELECTRIC will create a world-changing product😀
On top of getting to see the new building, we were also able to see the first-generation fish finder, and they even let us take photos. And with Mile-kun too😍

On the day we visited the new building, a “Fish Finder Certification Event” was being held～
Players from FURUNO ELECTRIC’s official main partner, the Nishinomiya Storks, who belong to B.LEAGUE Division 2, Japan’s professional basketball league, also took part in the event😀🏀

At the event, the Nishinomiya Storks players gave FURUNO ELECTRIC employees three-choice quiz questions～
They measured the correct answer on the spot with a tape measure😀 It was so lively～
The result was 280 cm. It was so high it made you wonder if he could touch the ceiling if he jumped～😆
Then FURUNO ELECTRIC gave the Nishinomiya Storks players a three-choice quiz in return♪
Mr. Maeda, the correct answer and the tallest person at 193.5 cm, appeared and compared his height with Kawamura♪
It was a warm and friendly event from beginning to end～(^o^)
After seeing this event and getting to tour the new office building,
I really felt firsthand that FURUNO ELECTRIC is an incredibly open and easygoing company～
The more I learned, the more I felt what a wonderful company it is😀
