Hamada Onsen is an old-fashioned public bathhouse where you can enjoy free-flowing natural hot spring water right in town. It’s especially popular with local residents, and according to reviews, the open-air bath on the second floor seems to be a favorite. Apparently, there’s also a sauna. The closure will last a little over two weeks, so if you were planning to go, please take note.
