Who They’re Looking For
Last time, we shared that you could appear as an extra in the film “Nishikita Chopin,” but this time you can appear as a reporter.
They’re looking for someone who is
(1) A Kansai resident
(2) A man in his 20s to 30s
(3) Someone who speaks clearly, but has an understated presence
So it seems you don’t necessarily have to be part of a theater troupe or be an actor, right?
Most Nishitsu readers are probably Nishinomiya residents, so many of you should clear (1).
There are also plenty of men in their 20s and 30s reading this site.
The key point is probably “someone who speaks clearly, but has an understated presence.”
My guess is that they mean someone who speaks properly, but looks calm and reserved.
Acting Video
The issue is probably the acting video.
As a test, Shacho @ Nishitsu tried filming an acting video. (He won’t be applying, though.)
- A video made like this
- Full-body photo and close-up photo of your face
- Profile, height, weight, and three sizes
I think you just need to send these to Mr. Tsukasa Uegahara at “nishichopin@gmail.com.”
What Was Used for Filming
The filming setup was very simple.
Just a tripod and a smartphone.
Tripod (you might not even need one) ↓

I’m pretty sure it was a really cheap tripod.
A smartphone such as an iPhone ↓

Of course, Android is fine too, as long as it can record video.
Also, if you buy a regular tripod, it may not come with an adapter to hold an iPhone.

So please ask at Joshin, Edion, a camera shop, or similar stores whether this kind of smartphone can be used.
Amazon sells a smartphone holder adapter.
If you’re going to buy a whole tripod anyway, you might consider getting a tripod for smartphones.
Finally
This is a rare chance to make your film debut in a movie set in Nishinomiya. If you’re aiming to become an actor, definitely give it a try. The Facebook post for applications is here.
