Welcome to “This Week in Nishinomiya,” where we look back at the Nishinomiya openings, closings, and buzzworthy topics covered by “Nishi2 (Nishinomiya Tsushin)” this week (2/13–2/19)!
Nigawa Station in Takarazuka, which probably about half of Nishinomiya residents use too, now has a new sandwich shop. Also, since it was really cold this week and apparently there’s a hot spring in the Shukugawa River, we went looking for it. Let’s keep it between us that we actually went about two weeks ago
This article is brought to you by smoothie specialty shop “chotto,” a supporter of Nishi2.

Something That Changed at Nishi2 This Week
There’s one item this week.
We’re growing shiitake mushrooms
Last week, a Nishinomiya business sent us some information,
and we received something called “Poko Sugu,” which lets you grow shiitake mushrooms in your living room!

It looks like a chocolate cake!
Nope. Not quite.
Those little white eye-like things are basically baby shiitake mushrooms.
Apparently they grow in just one week and become ready to eat.
We’ll write an article about it by next week or early the week after, so stay tuned! There might even be another first-come giveaway?! Be ready
If you’re thinking, “Wait, I want one,” you can buy it right away from kinoko specialty shop kinoko-ten.
Thank You for the Information!!
We’re so grateful for all the detailed tips from everyone! It’s a huge help to receive all kinds of information about Nishinomiya!!
Next week too, please send us your tips through the information submission form or LINE~ <m(__)m>
