Tigers ICOCA is so popular that it looks like it will go back on sale online from August 1.
Additional sales method for “Tigers ICOCA”|News Release|Hanshin Electric Railway Co., Ltd.
As before, the sale price is 2,000 yen, and it seems you can also add commuter pass functionality.
Once again, it looks like there will be no children’s ICOCA available.
There are two card designs: 30,000 cards with the team flag design and 30,000 cards with the To Lucky design.
Last time, there were 50,000 cards with the team flag design. They may sell out quickly.
Each person can buy up to 2 cards in total, so you can get both designs!
Sales will be through an online site
This time, they will be sold through the special online site “Tigers ICOCA Mail Order.”
The sales site is below:
https://hcl-c.com/shop/tigersicoca/
However, the page is still being prepared, so even if you click it now, you’ll see “Page not found.”
No need to worry.
This page will be made public once preparations are complete.

Notes
There are several points to be aware of.
(1) Even during the application period, applications will close once the planned number of cards has been reached.
(2) Applications are limited to one time per person, and two or more applications will be invalid.
(3) Payment is by cash on delivery only.
(4) In addition to the card price, shipping and other fees are required. Please check the special site for details.
(5) If a “Tigers ICOCA” is reissued due to loss or trouble such as card damage or reading failure,
the new card will be a regular-design ICOCA.
There are two important points.
Applications will close once the planned number of cards has been reached.
If you lose it, the reissued card will be a regular-design ICOCA.

In other words, if you lose it, that’s it.
So, since you can buy two cards, your options will probably be:
- Buy the same design and keep one as a backup
- Or just buy both designs after all
Those are likely the two choices.
Think it over based on your own personality.
Finally
Last time, there was an unbelievably long line at Hanshin Koshien Station, with waits of up to 7 hours, the kind of line that would surprise even Disney. For those who still haven’t been able to get one, this is lucky news. Why do limited-edition items fire people up so much?
