The Road South of Naruo Station Is Seriously Sparkling [Nishinomiya Photo]

The road on the south side of Naruo Station is really sparkling.

It’s hard to tell from photos, so please take a look at the video!

It’s shiny and beautiful.

It’s a little hard to see, but there seem to be glass-like stones mixed in.

This is probably something called “glass cullet asphalt pavement.” Apparently, the sparkling material is also called “cullet.” (We have not confirmed this with Nishinomiya City or Hyogo Prefecture.)

It seems to be pavement made by mixing waste glass into asphalt.

One benefit is said to be accident prevention.

Because it sparkles, drivers might think, “Huh? What’s that?” and slow down.
