“Torori Tenshi no Warabimochi” Melon Soda Drinkable Warabimochi and Matcha Fresh Warabimochi [Nishikon Gourmet]

For our 12th installment, we’re featuring the “Drinking Warabimochi Melon Soda” and “Fresh Matcha Warabimochi” from “とろり天使のわらびもち” along National Route 2!

Summer-only drink from “とろり天使のわらびもち”

They went to “とろり天使のわらびもち” to try the summer-only drink, “Drinking Warabimochi Melon Soda” ♪

The address is 2-28-20 Koshienguchi, Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.

It was such a pretty green, wasn’t it? ❗️

It looked just like a cream soda from a classic coffee shop! 🍈

The vivid colors really got us excited♪ So photogenic! 😍

If you look closely, there’s warabimochi at the bottom! (Can you see it?) The staff told us that it’s easier to drink if you gently loosen the warabimochi with the straw before drinking.

They also said to be careful not to stir it too hard, right? (If you mix it too strongly, the carbonation can foam up and overflow, apparently.)

The melon soda was refreshing, and the fizz wasn’t too strong.

When you sip it through the straw, after the melon soda, the warabimochi slides up smoothly, and that sensation is so fun 😆 The softly sweet, tender warabimochi melts and spreads gently through the refreshing melon soda ✨

Next up, this is the matcha warabimochi～

It’s covered with plenty of matcha kinako!

You eat the matcha warabimochi with chopsticks. It’s so soft and silky♪ that you couldn’t eat it with a toothpick.

When we lifted it with chopsticks, it was so soft it almost tore and fell apart.

Once you put it in your mouth, it slowly melts away with your body heat…! Pure happiness 😍 The gently sweet matcha kinako gave it a very refined flavor ✨

The matcha flavor was rich and generously coating the warabimochi, so I mixed it in well as I ate. It has that smooth, almost drinkable feel～

The “Fresh Matcha Warabimochi” is apparently a new regular menu item. The “Drinking Warabimochi Melon Soda” is only available in summer, so hurry!
