On August 31, the Nishinomiya Storks donated basketballs to eight Hyogo Prefectural schools in Nishinomiya.

On this day, the Nishinomiya Storks signed a comprehensive partnership agreement with Hyogo Prefecture, aimed at promoting Hyogo’s sports revival, tourism, and more across Japan.
It’s when a local government and a private company team up to solve various issues together.
As part of that, they carried out a “project to donate basketballs and other items to schools.” Apparently the basketballs at the prefectural high schools were pretty old, so it seems they donated shiny new ones.
These basketballs came from Dai-ichi Life, a partner company of the Nishinomiya Storks. They even have the logo on them.
A preseason game was also held that day, and the Nishinomiya Storks beat Osaka Evessa. Their home opener seems to start on October 8, and they’ll apparently be facing Kumamoto, their heated rival from last season.
