It’s been bleached completely white.
Just to be sure, I checked the oldest Google Street View image, from 2012, and this sign was already completely white.
So, as for this sign,
what kind of sign it originally was,
when it turned white,
and whether signs can naturally turn white like this,
all of it is a mystery.
What’s more, this sign trembles in the wind and makes noise. Scary.
