There were lots of red-tagged sale items lined up in front of the store, and I thought, “They don’t usually do this.” Then I noticed a message inside from a child saying something like, “Thank you, Sakurai Stationery,” and that’s how I found out.

We had also received information about the closing sale, but we were late in posting it. Sorry about that.

Speaking of Sakurai Stationery Store, they also closed their shop in ACTA Nishinomiya two years ago.

When I think of stationery, I remember things from elementary school like Kiki & Lala pencils, Keroppi pencils and erasers, and kneaded erasers. I imagine today’s elementary school kids also went to Sakurai Stationery Store with that same sense of excitement. It’s sad to see it go.
