I bought some takoyaki from the takoyaki izakaya “Takoyaki Su-chan,” across from Coop Koshienguchi.

The owner, “Su-chan,” is a really fun person to talk to.

What I bought at “Takoyaki Su-chan”

Takoyaki with sauce, 9 pieces 500 yen (tax included)
They kindly gave me a few extra pieces

Easy-to-eat, bite-sized takoyaki topped with sauce, mayonnaise, bonito flakes, and aonori seaweed!

The inside is nice and creamy, while the outside has a firm enough texture that you can pick one up with a single toothpick!
The ginger isn’t overpowering, but it adds just a subtle touch that feels just right. You could say it has a comforting ginger flavor. I kept popping them one after another, and before I knew it, they were all gone.

The full takoyaki menu!

Next time, I want to try the white ponzu!

I like lighter flavors, so the salt-based sauce sounds good too. Oh, next time I’ll get it topped with green onions.

There’s an eat-in space inside, and as an opening special, they’re running a campaign where you can get takoyaki and beer for 250 yen.
They said they’ll be adding more and more snacks and other menu items from here on. It feels like the shop is going to keep growing.
