I bought some items like “focaccia” from BLUE SKY BAKERY in Kurakuen-guchi, which opened last October.

What I Bought at “BLUE SKY BAKERY”

I bought four kinds of bread!

Mushroom Cheese Sauce Pizza ¥346 (tax included)

On top of the fluffy dough are fragrant mushrooms, bacon, and cheese. And it’s not just the toppings: there’s also melty cheese inside the dough, making it really satisfying.

Hearty Vegetable Tomato Pizza ¥346 (tax included)

It’s topped with colorful vegetables like tomato, broccoli, zucchini, and corn. The tomato isn’t overcooked and still has a fresh taste, which feels just right.

Melon Pan ¥162 (tax included)

This was also recommended by the staff. I was happy that the cookie crust on the melon pan was thick! The bread inside was moist and fluffy. Since it has a restrained sweetness, it would probably be good with a meal too.

Cream Croissant ¥216 (tax included)

I chilled it in the fridge overnight before eating it. Inside, there are two layers: custard cream and whipped cream, and it looked sweet at first glance. I was imagining something like a cream puff

The bread dough is soft, not crispy like it looks, with a light and fluffy texture. The cream is also surprisingly mildly sweet! Even with this much cream!? I thought one might be too much, but I ended up finishing it easily 🥐

They Let Me Take a Quick Look Around the Shop

Since the staff recommend the pizzas and focaccias, they had about eight varieties in total.

They also have this many kinds of sandwiches!

I visited a little before lunchtime, and customers kept coming in. Some people were even waiting outside because they couldn’t enter right away. Since this bakery has a wide selection of savory breads, it may be especially popular around mealtimes.
