It looks like the pedestrian bridge in Kaminaruo along the old national road is going to be removed.
(Thank you to Twilight-san for the tip!!)
Here it is↓

Construction starts on March 24, and it looks like removal will be completed by the 31st. Isn’t that super fast?
Here it is on the map↓
The address is around 3 Kaminaruocho, Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.

It’s pretty old. The rust really stands out.

Apparently it was built in 1969. That’s quite old.

According to a construction notice flyer sent in by Anonymous-san, the work is meant to widen the pedestrian space. Perhaps the road is narrow here, so there’s a reason to make it wider.
Details↓

Under the pedestrian bridge removal section, it says only the stair sections will be removed.

Only the stair sections will be removed?? Does that mean just the bridge will remain??

Will they just slice off the stair parts cleanly?
In Closing
The stair removal itself is apparently scheduled to be completed during nighttime work on the 27th and 28th. The 29th was listed as a backup day. For this construction, will the bridge remain while only the stairs are removed, and then a pedestrian crossing is added? We’ll go take another look.
