It looks like a free jazz music event called “Miyakko SWING DAY” will be held at Naruo Bunka Hall.
Here↓

Sunday, April 23, from 12:00
It’s sponsored by J. College music school. We’ve featured them on Nishitsu before too.
Here it is on the map↓
The address is 1-12 Furukawa-cho, Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture.

This is a photo from last year’s event. Photo courtesy of Furuno Electric.
“Miyakko SWING DAY” seems to be a jazz festival bringing together students, working adults, and professional musicians, with many of the performers likely being local Nishinomiya people.
The Performing Groups Have a Very Nishinomiya Feel
Here is the list of groups scheduled to perform.
- Furuno Electric Light Music Club
- Momoiro JAZZ Gakudan
- KG SKY WING JAZZ ORCHESTRA
- Takasu Jazz Orchestra
- Gakubun Jazz Orchestra
- MJO(Marina Junior Jazz Orchestra)
Names like Takasu and Gakubun, which include Nishinomiya place names, make it really easy to tell they’re local.
Sponsor Furuno Electric and the Furuno Electric Light Music Club are, of course, from a company that represents Nishinomiya, and Momoiro JAZZ Gakudan is apparently a working-adult jazz band based mainly in Nishinomiya.
KG SKY WING JAZZ ORCHESTRA is, as the name suggests, from Kwansei Gakuin.
Marina Junior Jazz Orchestra seems to be made up of junior high students from Nishinomiyahama Compulsory Education School.

You can enter Naruo Bunka Hall through the gate of Higashi High School.
Lastly
This will be the second Miyakko SWING DAY, and it seems pretty rare to have a place where students, working adults, and professionals can all connect. I’m not very good, but I’ve played a little jazz drums before, so I’m curious about it. If you like jazz and live nearby, it might be an easy event to drop by for.
