We Tried the Financiers at 香さか a Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi Shop Opened in April [Nishitsu Gourmet]

A baked sweets specialty shop called “香さか,” known for financiers and other treats, opened in April in Kofuen near Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi.

This time, Nishitsu reader “ダイズー” visited “香さか,” so here’s the report.

This section is “Nishikon,” where readers share things they’ve done in Nishinomiya.(It’s called Nishikon, but it has absolutely nothing to do with matchmaking or anything like that.)

All four look great! Straight to the point: which one was your favorite?

I especially liked the Fragrant Caramel Almond. The caramel sauce coating and the flavor of the almond powder used in the batter went really well together. It was so fragrant and toasty, and it became my favorite.

Menu

The financiers topped with cream (purple sweet potato and fresh crispy cheese) weren’t displayed at the counter, probably because they’re refrigerated items, but when I asked the staff, they prepared them right away.

I’m curious about the “Bondereine” too.
