Places in Koshien took spots from 2nd to 4th, all shops with their main stores there, so I keep thinking Koshien residents have it pretty good. Shukugawa also has two pastry shops, so you could say it’s luxurious too, but Koshien has Kankodo for wagashi, Patisserie Bern for Western sweets, and Kankodo again with okaki-maki, a mix of Japanese and Western flavors. Koshien really wins by a landslide.

Bern’s “Omoi de Catch Ball”

When giving souvenirs outside Hyogo Prefecture, I try to choose something that clearly shows where it’s from. Around here, this is probably the easiest one to understand: a package approved by Koshien Stadium with a picture of Koshien Stadium on it. Things from Kankodo or local sake makers can be more hit-or-miss depending on people’s tastes, so this is a safe choice and easy to buy nearby.

We Bought Nishinomiya Specialties “Ebisu-yaki” and “Homemade Soft Serve Ice Cream” at Ebisuyakomatsu Shoten in Babacho Near Ebessan [Nishitsu Gourmet] | Nishinomiya Tsushin
Nishinomiya locals must surely love Ebisu-yaki, with its perfect touch of salt, more than that newcomer Go○soro that expanded into Nishinomiya.
