The kanji of the year for 2023 was “税” (tax), but we’d like to ask Nishitsuu readers: “What kanji represents 2023 for you?”
(This is a tribute project inspired by Hirakata Tsūshin, who are running a survey too)
“What kanji represents 2023 for you?”

If you had to express this year in a single kanji, what would it be? For me, since I broke a bone in June, it would be 骨 (bone).

I tried calligraphy for the first time in years, and after staring at the character 骨 for too long, it started to lose all meaning. Something feels missing, but I’m not worrying about it lol
There are six questions.
- What kanji represents 2023 for you?
- Please share your reason, if you have one
- How old are you?
- Please tell us your gender.
- Please tell us the area where you live.
- Anything you’d like to ask Nishinomiya Tsūshin, or any comments you’d like to share(optional)
※Survey responses may be introduced in an article
↓Please submit your response below↓
The submission period is about one week
The deadline is December 20
