Area Around “PLANTS・PLANTS+plusflowers”

Across the street used to be the former Shukugawa Gakuin site, and is now an apartment building.

If you go this way, you’ll reach the Osawa-Nishinomiya Line. Straight ahead are Bliss Burger Hawaii and the lemon cake specialty shop “Raison d’etre Kurakuen.”

In the opposite direction, you’ll find Shukugawa Gakuin Soleil Certified Children’s Center, and if you keep going, you’ll reach the Suido-michi railroad crossing, leading toward Koyoen Station.
It Was a Pilgrimage Spot from The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya
We asked “Kagayaki 509-go @ Nishitsu Supporter” from the Haruhi Suzumiya Information Bureau.

Actually, this flower shop appears in an important scene in the movie “The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya,” which is set in Nishinomiya.

As the title suggests, “The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya” is a story in which Haruhi disappears from North High. The protagonist, Kyon, searches for Haruhi based on several clues, and it is right at this spot that he finds Haruhi, who was attending Koyoen Gakuin (Shukugawa Gakuin).

Because of that, many fans visited this spot as part of their “anime pilgrimage,” and the shop’s closure and the demolition of Shukugawa Gakuin became a topic among fans, with many expressing their sadness.
In Closing
Whether it’s a Haruhi Suzumiya pilgrimage spot or a long-running shop that closes down, seeing places like that disappear often makes me regret not going sooner. To avoid that feeling, I think it’s best to visit the places you love as soon as the thought comes to you. Though I say that and still don’t always act on it.
