Anzu @ Nishitsu SP visited “立菓六花,” a specialty shop for anko and rice flour sweets that opened on May 9 near the six-way intersection in Koyoen along Mitarashi-dori〜🙌
Here’s the storefront↓

What kinds of items do they have?

There are five kinds of ohagi in total: coconut, black sesame, kinako, smooth red bean paste, and chunky red bean paste.

Coconut ohagi? That’s rare〜〜!!

The shortbread comes in three flavors: rice flour, matcha, and black sesame.

I looked it up, and “shortbread” seems to be a cookie (biscuit) that originated in the UK🍪 Apparently it has a crisp, crumbly texture. I’m curious〜

I bought some ohagi to take home.

The coconut ohagi had white bean paste, and it was delicious. I also bought sesame, kinako, and chunky red bean paste. They were petite and tasty.

Coconut and white bean paste. A mix of Western and Japanese✨ I’ve never tried it, but it sounds delicious just imagining it😋

The shop is generally open only on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and it will be closed for three days from Friday, May 23 to Sunday, May 25 due to circumstances.

It looks like they also plan to open for cafe service in the future, and they’ll announce it again on their official Instagram once they’re ready〜!
