It looks like the “Joshin Outlet” along Route 171 will be temporarily closing from today, February 25, for rebuilding.
Here’s the notice posted in front of the store↓

The address is

Across the street is Chuo Sports Park.

If you go this way, you’ll find Kobe-ya Restaurant, the bicycle shop Pedal, and Gusto. Keep going and you’ll reach Route 2 and Fudabasuji.

In the opposite direction, there’s Toshokaku, Nissan Osaka, Volks, and more. If you keep going, you’ll pass Yoshinoya and Maruhachi on the way toward Amagasaki and Itami.
Scheduled to reopen sometime around September to November this year
The flyer in front of the store says it is scheduled to open this autumn. If there are no construction delays, it will likely reopen sometime around September to November.

This is the former site of “Double Day Antique Yard,” a furniture store next to Joshin that closed on October 1, 2017. It looks like this area may become part of Joshin as well, so it could end up being a pretty big store!

As you can see, there’s an opening in the construction fence that makes it easy to access Joshin, so this may also be Joshin’s property. If so, the flyer’s wording about opening “big” might be meant quite literally.
We’ll let you know if there are any further developments in the construction.
