Takeout Takoyaki from Tsunechan in Kawahigashicho Along Tateishi-suji Video Included

There’s a takoyaki shop called “つねちゃん” along Tateishi-suji, a little south of National Route 43.

When it comes to takoyaki, it’s a classic takeout food.

So this time, I thought I’d have a drink with some takoyaki from “つねちゃん” (though I ended up drinking more than that…).

Takoyaki “つねちゃん” Food

I picked up two kinds of takoyaki.

First up is the “Takoyaki (Sauce)” (300 yen).

It’s classic takoyaki.

They cook it after you order, so you get it fresh.

Even if you take it home, it doesn’t cool down all that quickly (it is takoyaki, after all).

It’s the standard takoyaki topped with sauce, mayonnaise, bonito flakes, and aonori, but it’s surprisingly light and so tasty you can just keep popping them one after another.

The other one is “Takoyaki (Negi Ponzu)” (350 yen).

Even though it’s ponzu, it isn’t drenched in it.

With green onions and mayonnaise plus just a hint of ponzu flavor, it’s even lighter than the sauce version.

Both the size and the seasoning make them very easy to eat, and even after eating 16 in total, I felt like I could still keep going.

For drinks this time, I tried these ↓

First is “Mercian World Selection Sparkling Wine.”

I thought a sweeter drink might go surprisingly well with takoyaki, so I gave this one a try.

And this is “Kirin The Strong Cola Sour.”

It’s even sweeter than the sparkling wine.

Personally, I thought both paired well with the takoyaki.
