Due to the impact of the novel coronavirus, restaurants and eateries everywhere have been coming up with various ways to ask customers to take precautions.
The most common are probably notices asking people not to enter in large groups, or requesting that customers wear masks.
Today, I happened to pass by a cake shop and found an elegant notice.
Here it is↓↓↓

This is “エルベラン” on the north side of Shukugawa Station.
Here’s the notice↓↓↓

“At our shop, we ask that you wear a mask as part of our dress code. Please wear one as a matter of etiquette for ladies and gentlemen.”
“We kindly ask that companions gently escort the purchaser into the shop, then wait outside on the terrace space.”
That’s what it says.
Wow, how elegant.
Even when the message is the same, the way it’s written can leave a completely different impression.
Just what you’d expect from Nishinomiya, the “city of sweets.”
