Gardens had been closed since April 8. The impact seems to have been especially large, and according to the Kobe Shimbun, foot traffic around Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi Station in the city dropped by as much as 72%. With Gardens reopening, it looks like some liveliness will finally be returning to Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi.
