It looks like students at Kamikoshien Junior High School made protective gowns and donated them to the Nishinomiya Medical Association.

According to the source, students at Kamikoshien Junior High School made about 220 protective gowns out of plastic bags at the former Hashi Junior High School to help medical workers fighting the novel coronavirus.

They will apparently be used at the Nishinomiya City Emergency Clinic, which is treating patients with fevers.

Apparently, staff have been using commercially available raincoats when treating patients with fevers. The article quotes someone as saying, “We can never have enough protective gowns to prevent droplets. We’re very grateful.”
Lastly
It seems the student council was the one that called on students to make the protective gowns. Their initiative and spirit of helping others are truly wonderful. It’s not something most people can easily do even if they want to, so the least we could do at Nishitsu was share the story!
