Nishinomiya Facilities to Offer LINE Alerts When COVID-19 Cases Are Reported

It looks like Nishinomiya will start sending LINE notifications if a COVID-19 case is confirmed after someone uses a city facility.

This system is called the “LINE Corona Notification System.”

To use it, you’ll need the LINE app on your smartphone.

If COVID-19 is reported at a library, hall, or similar facility, you’ll receive a notification on LINE

When using city facilities such as libraries and halls, you scan a code with the LINE app.

Then, if it turns out that someone who visited on the same day was infected with COVID-19, a notification will be sent through LINE.

Since most people have smartphones these days, this initiative seems like it could be quite effective.

Even if a COVID-19 case is confirmed, people can be notified right away and get tested quickly, which should help prevent the spread of infection.
