It looks like the “Hankyu Soba” shops at locations such as Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi Station will change their name to “Wakana Soba” from Monday, April 1.
According to a press release from Hankyu Hanshin Restaurants Co., Ltd., which operates “Hankyu Soba,” the business will be transferred as of Monday, April 1, 2019, to Hiranoya Co., Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Flat Field Operations Co., Ltd.
Along with this, all 15 “Hankyu Soba” and “Hankyu Soba Wakana” locations will change their name to “Wakana Soba” from April.
What is Hankyu Soba?
“Hankyu Soba” opened in April 1967 on the platform of Hankyu Railway’s Juso Station as the first standing soba and udon shop among Kansai’s private railway companies. Since then, it has expanded with shops inside and near stations, and has been used by many customers.
I had just eaten there on March 6.
