I went to try the “Kappa Lunch” at Wayoshu-sai “Kappa,” located right near Hankyu Shukugawa Station! I had previously ordered takeout from them, and it was incredibly delicious, so I decided to go for lunch too!

Wayoshu-sai “Kappa” Dishes
This is the “Kappa Lunch”（1420 yen including tax） that I ordered.
It comes with rice and miso soup, six kinds of small side dishes, and the main dish: “stir-fried octopus, shrimp, and scallops with Shaoxing wine.” I was impressed by the beauty, flavor, and attention to detail, easily on par with a fine Japanese kappo restaurant.

The Shaoxing wine and oyster sauce blend with the seafood broth for an outstanding aroma!
It has an elegant yet addictive, luxurious flavor.
There are six small side dishes in total. This one is “tofu with meat miso.”
The rich sweet-and-savory meat miso goes perfectly with the refreshing tofu.
“Deep-fried eggplant soaked in broth, topped with grated yam”
The eggplant is left overnight so the flavor soaks in slowly. It is so tender that it melts apart just by picking it up with chopsticks✨
“Three kinds of pickles.” Crisp, crunchy, and satisfyingly snappy! Irresistible!
“Amberjack sashimi.” Fresh, thick-cut, and wonderfully lively. The amberjack was excellent!
“Koya tofu simmered with egg.” Koya tofu thoroughly infused with dashi, coated in egg.
It melts juicily in your mouth✨
“Simmered daikon radish and pork.” This dish is also full of flavor, tender, and melt-in-your-mouth.

Besides “stir-fried octopus, shrimp, and scallops with Shaoxing wine,” you can also choose from “deep-fried conger eel with fragrant plum” or “Yurinchi chicken (fried young chicken with green onion sweet vinegar sauce).”

A bright interior. At night, it turns into a lovely izakaya.
There are plenty of table seats, and the partitions make them feel like semi-private rooms.
