It Looks Like Its Last Day of Operation Was October 13
A notice about the end of service had been posted.
It seems the ATM stopped operating after October 13.
The notice does list other ATM corners, but they’re far away, so they may not be very practical to use.
Nearby Convenience Store ATMs and Other Options
Those with Mitsubishi UFJ Bank accounts may be wondering, “Where should I withdraw cash from now…?” so we put together a list of nearby ATMs and their fees.
First, here are the key points about withdrawal fees.
- On the 25th of every month and the final day of the month, Seven Bank ATMs are fee-free.
- On other days, Lawson, the post office, and Amashin are safe options.
Seven Bank is basically 100 yen more expensive. Fees also vary slightly depending on the time of day, so please check the details below. As of October 20, 2020.
By the way, if you have a Mitsubishi UFJ Bank account, Aeon Bank ATMs are fee-free on weekdays from 8:45 to 18:00. They aren’t very close, but there are some at places like Green Town in Shukugawa.

Finally
This was probably a pretty valuable ATM, so many people may be disappointed by its removal. Last year, the ATM in front of Mondo-Yakujin Station also closed, and it seems quite a few people ended up finding things much less convenient. With the shift from cash to cashless payments, it may be inevitable, but it’s still disappointing.
