Tried the English Plate at cafe upe in Wakamatsucho Nishinomiya! [Nishitsu Gourmet]

Introducing restaurants visited by Nishitsu’s gourmet writer in our “Nishitsu Gourmet” series.
This time, we went to

“cafe upe（カフェ ウぺ）”
about an 8-minute walk from Hankyu Shukugawa Station.(*’ω’ﾉﾉﾞ

I’d thought it looked so cute❤️ and had been curious about it for a long time, and today I finally went☺️

The inside is cozy, with three tables for two and one table for four.

It’s a stylish cafe with an antique-natural feel, unified with wood throughout✨

Now then, let’s introduce the dishes we had this time〜⭐️

★English Plate with Drink Set(1,200 yen)

With the drink set, you can add your choice of plate,
and this time I chose the English Plate✨

It’s a plate set with a crumpet, fried egg, sausage, tomato, baked beans, sauteed mushrooms, and hashed potatoes❗️

A crumpet is a British-style pancake that isn’t sweet…

The outside is crisp and fragrant, while the dough is incredibly fluffy with a nice wheat aroma. It’s really delicious❤️

You can eat it with honey…

or with the fried egg…

Since it isn’t sweet, it goes well with all kinds of ingredients✨

It’s delicious dipped in baked beans,
or eaten with the sausage or mushrooms too☺️

The sausage was plump and juicy, and the mushrooms had a buttery flavor.

The baked beans were nicely seasoned, and the grilled tomato was sweet.

Everything was delicious❤️

Finally, I had some milk tea and took a relaxing break☁️
