Lastly
Personally, the time I used station elevators the most was when my child was little and in a stroller. That’s definitely essential. Another time is when I’m traveling with a suitcase.
This happened before when I went on a family trip. A foreign traveler got on an escalator with a suitcase. My child got on behind them, but the traveler seemed to lose their balance or something, and the suitcase came tumbling down. Of course, my child, who was standing behind them, was hit by the suitcase and fell on the escalator. That was really dangerous. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries.
Suitcases, and of course strollers, are absolutely dangerous on escalators, so please use the elevator instead.
Also, if someone in front of you on an escalator has a suitcase or stroller, please be careful. It might come falling down.
