On Saturday, November 29, we went to the preview event for “小田歯科,” which opened in the former Baskin-Robbins spot in Shukugawa.
The former Baskin-Robbins location has been transformed.
Now it has a natural exterior! And inside, it’s a super futuristic and fun dental clinic. Let’s get started!

A colorful crepe packed with all kinds of fruit called the “Orchestra.” With that, let’s head inside the clinic.
From the entrance, the inside already makes you go, what is going on here?! The round part where Shachomi is reflected is an interior window. Like Little My from Moomin
When we walked in saying, “Excuse us!”, the receptionist’s smile was almost too dazzling.
Even so, the entrance is super colorful! I always had an image of dental clinics being mostly white, but when it’s this colorful, it feels like you’ve come somewhere to play.

Apparently, this is a product by teamLab, the group whose work has been featured in all kinds of pavilions at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai.
Kids can play just by drawing lines with their fingers in one smooth swipe. It’s an amazing high-tech monitor that turns waiting time into game time.
“Try pressing there!” “Whoa, it fell!” It’s the kind of setup that can get even nervous kids excited before their appointment.
Ah, Ebessan’s bamboo branch is here too! The mirror has a gorgeous look like something out of Thermae Romae. This chaotic vibe kind of reminds me of the place before it moved, haha

It’s spacious and has a fun atmosphere.
So many Ghibli characters! It feels like a child’s room.
You can kind of make out what’s going on outside the window. The head nurse was playing around with the kids outside, haha.
The pattern on this glass window is apparently inspired by the Shukugawa River. An unexpected Nishinomiya touch! It does have that winding look, doesn’t it?
