It seems that Koshikiiwa Shrine was what inspired the newly promoted ozeki Takakeisho to pursue sumo.
In the past, Takakeisho apparently even served as one of the people holding the baby wrestlers during the “Naki Sumo” event.

Here are the details for Koshikiiwa Naki Sumo.
- Date and time: Sunday, September 15, from 8:00 a.m. (takes about 1 hour)
- Eligibility: Boys and girls up to age 3 who can hold their head up
- Offering/participation fee: 8,000 yen
- Application deadline: Thursday, August 15
About the Mawashi
It seems mawashi belts will be available to borrow.
New mawashi belts are also sold, so you can purchase one as well.
Access on the Day
Parking will not be available on the day of the event, so please use the free shuttle bus or other transportation.
The free shuttle bus apparently runs from Hankyu Shukugawa Station to the shrine on the day of the event, via Kurakuen.
