Here’s what Hakushika’s brewery opening looked like around 1 p.m. on February 11.
Here↓

The entrance. More and more people kept arriving.
Here it is on the map↓
The address is 2-10 Tateishi-cho, Nishinomiya City.

This is the area around the entrance to Hakushika. It’s usually not a very busy spot, but there were people visiting for the brewery opening.

Once inside, there were tons of people!! There were lots of tents set up.

The tents were tasting booths for Hakushika sake that you can only drink at the brewery opening!

These are the sake varieties available for tasting. I tried ①, ②, and ③.

The map looked like this. There was no food for sale this time, though they were selling snacks.

They were also selling 300 ml bottles to take home.

The eating and drinking area was packed, and the atmosphere looked like so much fun.

The color coding and types for sorting trash were impressive.

This Hana Kohaku Yuzu & Hyuganatsu sold out partway through the event.

I was planning to buy ②, the freshly pressed new sake Junmai Ginjo unfiltered namazake genshu (floral and rich), but it sold out. So I bought ①, Honjozo Mochi Yondan Jikomi unfiltered namazake genshu, which was also delicious.
This limited sake is no longer available, but a really delicious freshly pressed genshu will be sold at Hakushika Classics along Fudaba-suji Line.
We did a live stream showing today’s event and tasting ①, ②, and ③↓
Finally
It seems they were selling a “fun lucky bag” for 2,000 yen, and apparently it sold out 29 minutes after the event started at 10 a.m. I wonder what was inside. When something sells out that quickly, it makes you want one, doesn’t it? Next year, we’ll just have to go at 10 a.m. Next week, Ozeki will be holding its brewery opening event!
